Jekyll Island Club
Historic Jekyll Island is nestled in the natural splendor of Georgia, surrounded by live oak trees draped with Spanish moss. During the Gilded Age the Jekyll Island Club (now a resort) was used as a hunting clubhouse for the top 1% of America’s aristocrats. I took my color cues from the surrounding environment and the rich wood of the club interior. Other details were inspired by Art Nouveau and vintage collegiate athletics. All-in-all it was important to bring the look and feel into the 21st century while keeping its character.
